Wolfersberger, 84, of West Union Street, Somerset, died March 23, 1977, at his residence. Born April 15, 1892, in Rockwood, a son of the late William H. and Emma (Snyder) Wolfersberger. Also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Edna Stewart. Survived by widow, the former Marie Tedrow and these children: Mrs. Marilyn Hay of Somerset; William W. of Winchester, Va., and these grandchildren: Jeffrey Hay, Mrs. Amy Cascio, Chris and Tina Hay. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset Lodge 358, F and AM., and Pittsburgh Consistory. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College and had taught school at Rockwood where he served as principal for six years. He was also principal of Somerset High School from 1918 until 1929. In 1929 he was employed by Exxon Corporation where he served until his retirement. He worked a number of years for Luther P. Miller Inc. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday (today) in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service.
