ALFRED WOLVERTON

  Alfred Wolverton, a native of Webster County, W.Va., died at the home of his 
sister, Mrs. Canzada Burtin, Salisbury, Pa., Dec. 11, 1940, of a complication of 
diseases, the principal of which was myocarditis.  His age was 76 years, 4 
months and 27 days.  He had been in poor health for about a year.
  He was a son of George W. and Julia (Hamrick) Wolverton and is survived by the 
sister at whose home he died.
  The funeral service was held at the Funeral Parlor of Stanley M. Thomas, 
Salisbury mortician.  The service was conducted by Rev. Lawrence Bittinger, at 
3:00 p.m. last Friday.  Interment was in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
