Woods, 93, of Ursina, died Sept. 28, 1999, in Somerset Hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1906, in Connellsville, a son of Frederick and Mamie (Trimpey) Woods. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Edna Rebecca Hostetler; daughters, Jeanie and Doris, and sons, Jackie and Samuel; also two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Metheney) Woods; sons, Fred, Paul, Terry and Barry, all of Ursina, and daughters, Edna Hachman of Confluence; Sandra Koontz of Lexington, Ohio; and Robin Fazenbaker of Friendsville, Md.; a nephew, Ray Woods of Fort Hill; 20 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildrenand one step-great-great-daughter. Also, sisters, Margaret Sultner and Helen Altman, both of York, and a brother, Edward Woods of Confluence. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Confluence VFW Post 7250, and Ursina American Legion Post 946. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev.
