She was born May 10, 1890 in Somerset County, daughter of Harvey and Carrie Brant Spangler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira, in 1961; son Staff Sgt. Donald, killed in action in Belgium during World War II, sister Gladys, brother John. Survived by these children, Mrs. Nelson (Helen) Miller, Bloomsburg; William, at home, Mrs. Paul (Alice) Ream of Friedens, four grandchildren. She was a sister of Mrs. Fern Woodward, Kent, Ohio, Mrs. Roy Saylor and Wilson, both of Johnstown; Irvin, Orlando, Fla. She was a member of the Shanksville United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Marlin A. Miller.
