Wortman, 58, of Allentown, died May 1, 1972, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of Yolanda D'Este Wortman, formerly of Meyersdale. Born in Elmira, N.Y., he was a son of the late Judson N. and Florence (Arnold) Wortman. He was an agent for the Home Life Insurance Company for 25 years and advertising manager for the former Scoot Magazine for nine years. He retired from active business in 1964. He was a second lieutenant in Pennsylvania National Guard, and served in the Army infantry in World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Wortman was a member of Asbury Methodist Church, Allentown. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna, wife of Ronald T. Bankos of Allentown; four grandchildren, and a sister, Alberta, wife of Warren Yeager, of Lansdale. R. J. D'Este, a brother of Mrs. Wortman, and his son, Joseph, Meyersdale, attended the funeral service, Wednesday, May 3. Meyersdale Republican, May 11, 1972 [W1735]
