Woy, 67, Friedens, died July 18, 1987, in the VA Hospital, Altoona. Born in Somerset County Oct. 20, 1919, a son of the late Earl E. and Anna M. (Diest) Woy. Preceded in death by parents and one brother, Earl Jr. Survived by wife, Beatrice (Mason) Woy; and these children: John L. Jr., Hubbard, Ohio; Patrick, Fort Collins, Colo.; Fay, wife of John Whipkey, Fredonia, Pa.; and Joan, wife of Elmer Ohler, Berlin; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and these brothers and sisters: James, Boswell; Jerry, Boswell RD 2: Ray (Pete) Manington, W.Va.; Sara, wife of Donald Saulisberry, Hadden Heights, N.J.; Norma, wife of Gilbert Bowser, Sarasota, Fla.; Ethel, wife of William Daniels, King of Prussia, Pa.; and Joyce, wife of William Laney, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Death terminates a marriage union of 50 years. Air Force veteran of World War II. Member of VFW Post, Johnstown. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today (Monday) and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. H.I.
