Woy, 73, of Somerset died unexpectedly at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday at the Community Hospital. Her death was attributed to coronary embolism. She had undergone a major operation nearly two weeks ago. Mrs. Woy was a daughter of Henry and Magdaline (Ackerman) Zinn and was born at Berkley's Mills, July 26, 1872. She was married in 1891 to Frank Woy, a well- known lumberman and farmer, of Somerset, who died about six years ago. Surviving are four daughters - Mrs. Merle D. Snyder, Breezewood; Mrs. John J. Fluck, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Luther W. Bittner, Somerset, and Mrs. Ernest L. Trent, Somerset. Six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Emma Ridinger, Swissvale, also survive. A brother, John Zinn, and a sister, Mrs. Horace Long, preceded her in death. Mrs. Woy was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bittner. Rev. J. Hess Wagner, D.D., will officiate. Interment will be in the Husband Cemetery under direction of the Hoffman Funeral Home. Meyersdale Republican, February 28, 1946
