(Bravis) Wozniak, 88, Windber, went to be with the Lord, Oct. 8, 2006, at Windber Medical Center. Born June 26, 1918, in Windber, daughter of Martin and Mary (Karch) Bravis. Preceded in death by parents; stepfather, John Strachan; husband of 58 years, Frank J. Wozniak; brother, Joseph; sisters, Susan Shimko, Rose M. Kovach, Ann Criss, Helen Mariani, Mary Lanese and Marie Gaertner. Survived by children, Frances, wife of the late Lawrence Kochinski; and John Wozniak, married to the former Karen Spontak, both of Windber; grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph Kochinski and Michael, Christopher "Luke" and Thomas Wozniak, and numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was a "Rosie the Riveter," who worked at an aircraft manufacturing plant during World War II. She later was a cook at several area restaurants. Elizabeth was an avid Pirates fan, who loved attending the Pirates games with the St. Elizabeth Church group. She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Rosary, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek V.F. celebrant.
