    John J. Wozniak, 78, East Third Street, Gray, DOA evening of May
  28, 1997 at Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 8, 1918, in Ralphton.  Son
  of Stanley F. and Anna (Hyzek) Wozniak.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sisters Catherine Alarcon and Stella Mellado, and brother
  Frank.  Survived by wife, the former Anne DelSignore, and children: 
  John G. Wozniak and Carol (Blucas) Vish, both of Boswell RD;
  Constance E. Wozniak, at home; Linda S. Wozniak, Pittsburgh, and
  David E. Wozniak, Ann Arbor, Mich.  Also beloved pet dog "Lucy." 
  Brother of Mary Lakotas, Lincoln Park, Mich.; Frances Zudar, Little
  Rock, Ark.; Sally, wife of Anthony DePietro, Bronx, N.Y.; Julia, wife
  of Samuel Mash, Gray; Helen, wife of Charles Daly, Bronx, N.Y., and
  Joseph, married to Helen Webb, of Gray.  Member of All Saints
  Catholic Parish, United Steel Workers, and the Somerset County Old
  Timers Baseball Association.  Army veteran of World War II, having
  served in the 779th E.P.D. Co. in the China-Burma Theatre.  Observed
  55th wedding anniversary on April 1, 1997.  Former miner with
  approximately 25 years service and retired from the former Johnstown
  Works, U.S. Steel Corp.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday
  and from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral
  Home, Main Street, Boswell, where Wake Service will be held at 3 p.m.
  Sunday.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's
  Church, Acosta.  Rev. Father Blase Wegierski O.F.M. Conv.  Interment,
  Husband Cemetery, Somerset.  Graveside military rite in the charge of
  Menoher VFW Post 155 Ritual Team.
