Wright, 86, of Addison, passed away April 2, 1979 in Meyersdale Community Hospital following a lingering illness. He was born May 19, 1892, in Addison, a son of the late Howard and Jennie (Miller) Wright. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edith (Wass) Wright; two sons, Jack and Ralph, bit of Addison; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. He was a life-long, active member of the United Methodist Church of Addison, having served as a member of the board for over 60 years. He was also a member of the local school board for 35 years, and a member of the Masons for 53 years having been a member of New Castle Consistory S.P.R.S., 32nd Degree, and the Meyersdale Lodge No. 554, F. and A.M. He had been in the home building business in the surrounding area for 65 years. Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where funeral service was held with the Rev. John R. Hickson officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Addison Methodist Church in memory of the deceased. The Republic, April 5, 1979 [W1782]
