Wright, 78, Addison, died Oct. 15, 1997, at his home. Born Nov. 20, 1918, in Confluence, son of the late Frank C. and Edith M. (Wass) Wright. Survived by his wife, Wilma "Sis" (Henry) Everhart Wright; two sons: Sylvester "Sam" Everhart, Oakton, Va., and Jack Wright II, Spring City, Pa.; four grandchildren: Sean Allen Wright, Leslie Ann O'Brien, Jack Wright III and Jenna Elizabeth Wright; one step-great-grandson, Matthew, and a brother, Ralph A. Wright, Addison. He was a self-employed carpenter, former employee of Dennis Lumber Co. and retired from Yezbak Lumber, Uniontown, in 1984. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he served as a B-17 bombardier in Europe with the 332nd Bomber Squadron, 94th Bomber Group, 8th Air Force. He was a member of the Pa. Chapter 8th Air Force Historical Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Addison United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today (Thursday) and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral home, Confluence. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Addison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Del Wasser and the Rev. David Lee officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery.
