All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ JAMES COOPER WRIGHT James Cooper Wright, born in Garrett County, Md., May 16, 1887, died at his home a short distance north of Salisbury, June 29, at 2 a.m. He was aged 56 years, one month and 15 days. His death was apparently caused by a paralytic stroke. He also had a former stroke, from which he recovered to a considerable extent and again became able to do light work. The evening before he died he retired early for the night, but did not rest well and suffered another stroke and died before a doctor could be gotten to him. He was a son of the late Charles and Margaret Cooper Wright, who for many years resided on a farm in Greenville Township. He is survived by his wife, Grace, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murray, Greenville Twp., and by three sons and one daughter, namely, Roy and Earl, in the U.S. Army, one in Egypt, and the other in some other portion of Africa; Harold at home, and Edna, wife of Paul Fullem, of Elk Lick Township. Surviving also are a brother and a sister, Oscar Wright of Jennerstown, and Mrs. Norman Wilhelm of Greenville Township. Funeral services today (Thursday) at the family home, at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. A. Jay Replogle, pastor of the Salisbury Church of the Brethren. Interment in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, July 1, 1943
