Wright, 56, Salisbury, died unexpectedly about 7 A.M., Wednesday, Aug. 16, while in his car about to depart for the VA Hospital in Altoona. He was steward and commander of Earl H. [sic*] Post 459, American Legion, Salisbury; was a member of Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, Salisbury borough council, the VFW there, Salisbury Brethren Church and LOOM 76 in Meyersdale. Born Aug. 5, 1911, in Greenville Township, he was a son of James C. and Grace (Murray) Wright. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth W. Walker; a step-son, Ronald D. Walker, Meyersdale RD 3; a brother, Harold J. Wright, Salisbury; and a sister, Mrs. Edna Fullem, Salisbury RD 1.
