Born Jan. 2, 1932 in Confluence a daughter of the late Howard N. Uphold and Nellie Parnell Uphold Frazee. Also preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Caye and one brother Glen Uphold. Survived by husband of 38 years, Carl Yanego; two sons, Harry Frederick Savage of Uniontown, Douglas James Savage of Morgantown; one daughter, Peggy Lynette Savage of Wyoming, a brother James Howard Uphold of Confluence; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a Methodist by faith. She was a former employee of Galls in Pleasant Valley. She opened the Savage Toll House. Restaurant on Route 40 in Addison; Also a partner in the Appalachian Lake Park in Bruceton Mills, W.Va. where she managed and held singing performances at the park. She enjoyed writing music and wrote several songs. Visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hastings Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Tim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery on the Grafton Road. Donations may be made in her memory to Morgantown Hospice, P.O. Box 4222, Morgantown, W.Va. 26505.
