(Plume) Yaukey 74, of 5808 Tick Ridge Road, Waynesboro, died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998 at Manorcare Health services where; she was a guest. She was in failing health for the past several years and critically ill for the past month. Born Jan. 16, 1924 at Confluence, the daughter of the late Alexander R. and Susan Ann (Ryatt) Plume. She lived her early life near Confluence and then later moved with her aunt in Leitersburg, Md, She and her late husband, Lloyd Aaron Yaukey were married on May 20, 1944. They lived in Mont Alto then Quincy, and then Waynesboro, moving to the present residence on lick Ridge Road in 1952. Mr. Yaukey died June 20, 1995. Mrs. Yaukey was employed by the Waynesboro Knitting Mill in her younger years. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda K. Yaukey and one son, Larry F. Yaukey both of Waynesboro, two sisters, Ruth M. Anderson and Eva J. Anderson both of Confluence, one brother, Denzil G. Plume, Fort Hill, Pa and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Olive Conn, Velma Conn, Verna Fazenbaker, Margaret Plume and two brothers, Alvin Plume and William Plume. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Gayle L. Ruble officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Daily American, January 2, 1999
