Born March 15, 1918 in Johnstown. A son of the late John and Edith (Fiddler) Yeager. Also preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Miller. Survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Clara Dively, and two children: John Yeaker, Dunedin, Fla.; and Brenda Curtis, Warren Mich. Also three grandchildren: Wendy Johnston, Palm Beach, Fla.; Christopher Curtis, Kankakee, Ill.; and Jason Yeager, Dallas, Texas; and a great-grandson, Conner Curtis. A brother of Jack Yeager, Connellsville. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Meyersdale, Jesse retired from Cranbrook Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. He served as Chaplin of American Legion Post 112, Meyersdale, and was a charter member of the Michigan Round Table of the Civil War. A 1935 graduate of Meyersdale High School. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at noon Monday, with the Rev. Joseph Onder officiating. Interment Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Main St., Meyersdale, or American Legion Post 12, Grant St., Meyersdale.
