All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ DORA BIRD YEAGLEY Dora Bird Yeagley, Confluence's oldest citizen, aged 91 years, died Tuesday morning, March 16, at her home on Oden Street after a lingering illness of heart trouble and complications. She was born December 21, 1851, in Addison Township, a daughter of Kathryn Fike and Basil Bird, both deceased. She was united in marriage with Fred Yeagley and lived in Confluence many years, rearing a family of five children of which two preceded her in death. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Laura Clouse and Ella Yeagley, of Connellsville; one son Hagan Yeagley, Connellsville; two sisters, Mrs. Lavina Nedrow of Confluence and Mrs. Mary Laub of Tarentum, and one brother, Basil Bird, Confluence. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held in the Humbert Funeral Parlors Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Burson in charge. Interment in the Union Cemetery.
