Yelovich, 2467 Mountain Road, Cairnbrook RD, died Sept. 26, 1997. Born in Central city, a son of the late Peter and Ann (Harchick) Yelovich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Survived by his wife, Micky, to whom he was married for 48 years, and these children: Eugene and wife, Janet, Cairnbrook; Sheri, married to Dr. Ed Rapp; Mark; Robert and wife, Lori; and Thomas; four grandchildren: Nicole and Ben Yelovich, Travis and Garrett Rapp. Also survived by four brothers and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, retired welder with Bethlehem Steel Corp. Former president of the legislative committee of the United Steelworkers of America Union Local 2644. Avid fisherman, fine athlete and sportsman, playing football, a diver and an amateur boxer. Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Central City, where funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mark A. Yelovich Scholarship Fund for Nursing Students c/o 2467 Mountain Road, Cairnbrook. The fund was established because of the care he received in the In-Touch Hospice program at Somerset Hospital.
