Born Jan. 13, 1914, at Bayport, Mich., he was a son of the late Abraham and Nellie (Hawn) Yoder. Also preceded in death by a sister, Sadie Christner and three brothers, Roy, Melvin and David Yoder. He is survived by his wife, the former Gilda May Stevanus, five daughters, Mrs. Scott (Roberta) Peck, Fort Hill, Mrs. Bradley (Penelope) Mason, Mrs. David (Patricia) Knopsnyder and Mrs. Steven (Tammy) Hoover, all of Meyersdale and Teresa Yoder and Steven Trau, Margate, Fla.; two brothers, Arthur, Meyersdale, Charles, Glen Burnie, Md. and a sister, Evelyn Bluebaugh, Lakemore, Ohio, 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Member of Salisbury Church of the Brethren, veteran of WW II, member of Salisbury American Legion, retired sawmiller and coal miner. Friends received Saturday, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. expressions of sympathy may be directed to Salisbury Church of the Brethren. Daily American, March 2, 1996
