(Kaufman) Yoder, 93, Hollsopple, died Dec. 4, 1998, at Laurel view Village. Born May 3, 1905, in Conemaugh Township, a daughter of Noah and Malinda (Kinsinger) Kaufman. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Ammon S. Yoder, sister, Mrs. Emma Hostetler, brothers: Ammon, Norman and Harrison Kaufman. Also three infant grandchildren. Elda was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by these children: Noah Yoder, married to the former Elma Hershberger, Davidsville; Dorothy M., wife of the late Sanford G. Shetler, Hollsopple; Twila, wife of Maynard Thomas, Ohio; Paul E. Yoder, married to the former Shirley Hoover, Middletown; Bernice, wife of Lowell Alwine, Hollsopple; Emma May, wife of Ernest Alwine, Davidsville; Marlin S. Yoder, married to the former Doris Leiner, Hollsopple; Erma, wife of the late Carl R. Kauffman, Johnstown; Merle Yoder, married to the former Janet Eash, Royersford; 31 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also five step-grandchildren, 13 step-great-;grandchildren and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren. Elda was an avid quilter and life-long member of the Blough Mennonite Church, where funeral service will be held, at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Richard Mininger officiating. Interment, church cemetery. Remains will lie in state from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service. Viewing and visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Blough Mennonite Church, located one mile off the Jerome exit of Route 219 on Route 601 North. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Blough Mennonite Church. Arrangements by the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber. Florists may deliver flowers directly to the Blough, Mennonite Church after 1 p.m. Saturday. Daily American, December 5, 1998
