Gene Davis "Dave" Yoder Jr., 61, Friedens, died  unexpectedly May 8, 2008. Born 
Feb. 8, 1947, in  Somerset, son of the late Gene Davis Yoder Sr. and  Dorothy E. 
R. (Rayman) Yoder. Survived by his wife  of 31 years, the former Debra S. Swank; 
daughter,  Tamara Ann Yoder; sister, Diane E., married to  Al F. Hoop, Westwood, 
Calif.; niece, Amy Lynn  Malijen; nephew, Wesley Morgan Christner; father-and  
mother-in-law, Robert and Dora Swank, Somerset. A  1965 graduate of Somerset 
High School and 1969  graduate of Penn State University. Vietnam era Army  
veteran. He was a post office clerk for 22 years now  serving at the Berlin Post 
Office. A member of Friedens  Lutheran Church and Somerset FOE Aerie 1801. He  
enjoyed hunting and fishing. Family will receive friends  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 
p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral  Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 1 p.m. until 
service at  2 p.m. Monday at Friedens Lutheran Church. The Rev.  Edward V. 
DeVore officiating. Interment Friedens  Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial 
contributions may be  given to Friedens Lutheran Church Community  Ministry 
Fund, Friedens, PA 15541.
