  George E. Yoder, 79, Glades Pike, Berlin, died July 16, 2005, at home after a
  valiant battle with cancer. Born June 15, 1926, in Stonycreek Township, son of
  Sherman and Mildred (Sevits) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents; brothers,
  Gerald and Dean Yoder and sister, Mary Baltzer. Survived by his wife of 57
  years, the former Ida Koch; children, Jeffrey, married to the former Jenny
  Kinsella, Berlin; Douglas, married to the former Deb Weigle, York; and Jennifer
  S. Yoder, at home; grandchildren: Cory and wife, Suzanne; Chad and wife,
  Jennifer; and Joel and Jerika Yoder; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Jacob and
  Jorydn. Brother of Elwood "Pee Wee," Ashland, Ky. Attended
  Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. Retired dairy farmer and truck driver. Life
  member and deacon of Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren. Member of Pike
  Cemetery Association Board. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held 11
  a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kenneth Davis and the Rev. Owen Preston officiating.
  Interment Brotherton Pike Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the
  American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St., Somerset, PA 15501 or "In Touch"
  Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
