  YODER
  
  Homer M. Yoder, 65, of Springs, died Jan. 5, 1978, at Meyersdale Community
  Hospital. He was born in Grantsville, Md., May 31, 1912, the $on of the late
  Simon and Cathryn (Miller) Yoder. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian.
  He is survived by his widow, the former Alta (Shoemaker) Yoder; two brothers,
  Owen Yoder of Berlin and Alva Yoder of Grantsville, Md.; and one sister, Mrs.
  Vernie Maust of Meyersdale. He was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church,
  treasurer of the church for 25 years and an Erie Insurance Agent for 25
  years. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville,
  Md., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday with services conducted at 11 a.m.
  Saturday from the Springs Mennonite Church. The Reverends John Kraybill and
  Walter Otto will be officiating. Interment, Springs Cemetery. Family requests
  contributions to a favorite charity.
