Born August 2, 1938, in St. Paul, she was a daughter of the late Jack D. and Grace (Bodes) Pyle. Mrs. Yoder was a member of Springs Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and was Church librarian for more than 20 years. She previously taught Sunday School at St. John's United Church of Christ in Salisbury and was a member of the Springs Historical Society. She was the book department manager and buyer for Yoder's Country Market, Grantsville, Md. and also operated a book shop from her home. Surviving are her husband, Richard I. Yoder; one son, Andrew R. and wife Yvonne, Waynesboro; one daughter, Angela S. Piwonka and husband Ed, Quincy, Ill.; three grandchildren: Corbin and Bryn Yoder and Molly Piwonka; two sisters: Karen Anderson, Tappanhannock, Va.; and Jackie Wulliez, Fredericksburg, Va. A celebration of Judy's life will be held at 11 a.m. at the Springs Mennonite Church on Saturday, November 29, with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., is in charge of cremation arrangements.
