She died peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born March 18, 1926, in Oakland, MD, she is a daughter of the late Elmer and Sadie (Hershberger) Schrock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Simon, in 1997. She is the beloved mother of Miriam Arlene, wife of Leonard Sacco; Elsie, wife of Robert Beachy, all of Hyndman; Virginia, wife of Peter Mueller, Great Falls, Mont.; and James, husband of Nancy Yoder, Grantsville, Md. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Rachel and Londa Beachy, Christine Jenkins and husband Steve, Jimmy Yoder and wife Heidi, and Amanda Yoder; and three great-grandchildren, Stephen and Elizabeth Jenkins and Tyler Yoder. She is also survived by five brothers and two sisters: Simon Schrock, Raymond Schrock, Olen Schrock, Rhoda Yoder, and Thelma Beiler, all of Grantsville, Md; Herman Schrock, Smyrna, Ga; and Homer Schrock, Cochranville. Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker. She accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth and was a lifelong member of Mountain View Christian Fellowship. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always enjoyed singing and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, and faithfully read the entire Bible one or more times each year for many years. Friends will be received on Sunday om 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home in Meyersdale. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Mountain View Christian Fellowship. The Rev. Jerry Yoder officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mountain View Alms Fund.
