Hershberger in Elk Lick Township. She was aged 92 years, 4 months and 22 days. Her husband, David Yoder, who lived for many years on the farm now occupied by his grandson, Joseph J. Yoder, died 31 years ago. She was the mother of nine children, five of whom survive, namely, Jacob D. Yoder, Fanny, wife of Joel E. Hershberger, Barbara, widow of William Bender, Jonas D. Yoder, and Annie, wife of Russell J. Engle. She also had 28 grandchildren, 14 of whom survive, 46 great-grandchildren, 44 surviving, and four great-great-grandchildren, three living. She was the second wife of David Yoder, who had a number of children by his first wife, among them the following named sons: Solomon D., Moses D., Urias D., and Daniel D. Yoder, all deceased, and John D. Yoder, surviving. The funeral, Monday, was very largely attended by relatives and friends. Mrs. Yoder was a faithful member of the Amish Mennonite Church during her entire lifetime, and was highly respected by all who knew her. Meyersdale Republican, June 5, 1930
