  Merle R. Yoder, 90, of Hollsopple died Feb. 26, 2002 at Conemaugh Memorial
  Hospital. Born Dec. 18, 1911 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County. Son of
  Wesley and Adda (Layman) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents, son Donald Ray,
  brothers Kermit, Kenneth, and Paul Survived by wife of 68 years, the former
  Mary Ruth Berkey and these children: Marilyn married to Walter Ullery,
  Hollsopple, and Sanford married to the former Alice Humphrey, Allentown. Also
  survived by five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two
  great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Hazel Browning, widow of Paul,
  Baltimore, Md. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Blough Mennonite
  Church where he held many offices. He was a former MDS coordinator and
  manager of Worlds Attic, Somerset. A charter member of Conemaugh Township
  Historical Society Past president of Johnstown Coin Club for 35 year. He was
  formerly employed at Water Hardware, Davidsville. He was a former farmer and
  operate an egg route for over 50 year: in the Johnstown area. Family
  receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the George E. Mason
  Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service at
  11 a.m. Friday at Blough Mennonite Church. The Reverends Elvin Holsopple and
  David Mishler officiating. Interment, Blough Mennonite Cemetery.
