Born, Feb. 24, 1913, in Lancaster, she is the daughter of the late William Loechner and was raised by Jake, Lena, Leah and Fanny Beachy in Aurora, W.Va. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan M. Yoder; daughter, Frances Yoder; son-in-law, Martin Maust; daughter-in-law, Judith (Pyle) Yoder; brothers, George, Charles, William and Andrew Loechner; and sisters, Jenny, Bertha and Frances. Surviving are son, Earl A. and Joanna (Landis) Yoder, Springs; grandson, Richard L. and Cindy Yoder; great-grandson, Tyler Leap; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Yoder, grandson, Karl E. and Susan Yoder; great-grandsons, Derek and Brett Yoder; great-granddaughter, Beth Yoder; daughter, Loretta K. and Joseph Bender, Springs; grandson, Charles M. and Marie Bender; great granddaughter, Ruth Bender; granddaughter, Pamela and Mark Woynicz; great grandsons, Christopher and Kevin Woynicz; grandson, Joseph E. and Vanora Bender; great grandsons, Timothy and Douglas Bender; granddaughter, Kathryn and Wayne Sodowsky; great-grandson, Joseph Sodowsky; great-granddaughters, Madilyn and Anna Sodowsky; son, Richard Ivan Yoder, Springs; granddaughter, Angela and Edward Piwonka; great-granddaughter, Molly Piwonka; grandson, Andrew and Yvonne Yoder; great-grandson, Corbin Yoder, great-granddaughter, Bryn Yoder; daughter, Jean Maust, Springs; granddaughter, Debra Eckard, great grandsons, Patrick and Justin Eckard; son, C. Mildred was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church for 73 years, Springs sewing circle, and an avid bird watcher and wild flower gardener. She learned from Fanny Beachy. She was a charter member of Springs Historical Society and was a volunteer for the Springs Folk Festival for many years. Mildred was a beloved, fun mother. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m. Friday at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Springs Mennonite Church. The Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Private interment will be held prior to the services at the Springs Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Springs Mennonite Church.
