Yoder, 83, formerly of Hemlock Drive, Grantsville, Md died March 25, 1998 at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born June 11, 1914, in Elk Lick Township, he was a son of the late Monroe D. and Amelia (Yoder) Yoder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia (Yoder) Yodel on Jan. 6, 1989, a grandson, Beldon Ray Maust, 2 brothers, Floyd M. Yoder and Olen M. Yoder and a sister, Elizabeth Beitzel. Mr. Yodel was a member of Maple Glen Mennonite Church and supported the church by serving on the trustee board and on the food committee for the congregation. He also served as a member of the Goodwill Mennonite. Home board. After retiring from farming, he taxied for Amish families. Mr. Yoder is survived by a son, Ernest R. Yoder and wife Doris (Bender), Grantsville, a daughter, Leanora A. Maust and husband, Francis C., Lebanon, a brother, Norman M. Yoder, Grantsville, a sister, Alta Bender, Accident, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Maple Glen Mennonite Church, with Rev. Ivan Maust and Rev. Philip Moser officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Rev. Robert Yoder officiating. The body will he taken to church one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will he nephews. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County. Daily American, March 26, 1998
