Yoder, 74, of 424 Salisbury St., Meyersdale, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996, as a result of an automobile accident at the intersection of Rt. 29 and Rt. 127, in Hampshire County, W.Va. Mr. Yoder was born June 19, 1920, in Meyersdale, a son of the late Menno and Mary (Tice) Yoder. He was employed as a farm machinery mechanic for Cecil E. Jackson Equipment Co. and John Deere Corp. Mrs. Yoder was born May 4, 1922, in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Jonas and Amanda (Yoder) Beachy. She was a homemaker. Both were members of Red Run Mennonite Church, Grantsville, Md., where Mr. Yoder pastored from 1984 to 1992. Mrs. Yoder also volunteered her time assisting with crafts at Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home, They are survived by 2 sons: M. Sam Yoder and wife Lachelle, Nokesville, Va., and 'Bob Yoder and wife Susie, Catlett, Va.; a daughter, Judi Rogers and husband Jerry, Warfordsburg, Pa.; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Yoder is also survived by a brother. Simon Yoder, Meyersdale, and a sister, Lydia Yoder, Grantsville, Md. Mrs. Yoder is also survived by 2 half-brothers: Floyd Yoder, Accident, Md.; Cloyd Yoder, Meyersdale, and a stepbrother, Crist Yoder, Grantsville; 3 half-sisters: Pauline Schrock, Fairfax, Va.; Elsie Schrock, Grantsville, and Freda Yoder, Mount Joy, Pa., and a stepsister, Sarah Yoder, Hampton, Va. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home. Grantsville, Md., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be conducted at 10:30 am. Thursday at Mountain View Christian Fellowship, Salisbury, with Rev. Jerry Yoder and Rev. Simon Schrock officiating. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Yoder passionately loved the Lord and faithfully shared His love with everyone they met. Daily American, October 23, 1996
