Yoder, 83, Somerset, died Jan. 9, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 1, 1923, in Somerset Township. He is the son of the late Earl O. and Ethel A. (Berkey) Yoder. Also preceded in death by a son, Larry P. Yoder, and two sisters, Betty McGuire and Elaine Simpson. Survived by wife, the former Virginia Ruth Charlton; daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Joyce) Miller, Somerset; daughter-in-law, Linda Yoder, Somerset; grandchildren, Michele and husband, John Dora; Michael Miller; Richard Yoder and wife, Michele; Kimberly and husband, Shawn Ogline; and Mia Miller; great-grandchildren, Trista, Seth, Andrew, Devin, Zachary and Caleb. Life member of VFW Post 554, Somerset, and enjoyed spending time at his pavilion talking with family and friends. Retired pay loader operator at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. after 42 years of service and a veteran of World War II. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where a service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Gerald Defenbaugh officiating. Interment in Husband Cemetery.
