Yoder, 84, Somerset, died Aug. 29, 1998 in Somerset. Born Nov. 29, 1914 in Somerset Township, a son of the late Francis and Ella (Yoder) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Lulu Grace (Nicklow); brothers and sisters, Edward, Leroy, Henry, Orin, Isabel Pritts, Julia Miller, Carrie Yoder, Luella Yoder, Richard, Magdalene Coddington, Irvin, and Freeman. Survived by two stepchildren, Larry Shaw and wife, Doris, of Somerset, and Lorene, wife of John Sabo, Colorado; sisters, Miss Gladys, Thelma Boyd and Frances Bruner, all of Somerset; brothers, Harold, Scottdale, and Elwood, Bando. Served in the U.S. Army in World War II as a sergeant in the military police. Groundskeeper at the Somerset Country Club for more than 55 years. Avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. No visitation. Funeral service for friends and relatives will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Rev. Sam Coughenour. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
