ALICE YOMMER

  Mrs. Alice Yommer died at her home near Jennings, Md., May 22, 1940, at the 
age of 67 years, 9 months and 21 days.  The cause of her death was cancer.  She 
was a daughter of Jackson and Margaret Diefenbach Stanton of Garrett County, 
Md., and the wife of Henry Yommer, and is survived by her father, now a resident 
of Frances, Wash., also by her husband, and the following children: Lawrence 
Yommer and Mrs. Melissa Stanton, of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Gladys Smith of 
Grantsville, Md.; Walter, of Cumberland, Md.; Clyde, of Jennings; Mrs. Mary 
Shives of Frostburg, Md.  Three sisters also survive - Mrs. Katherine Davis of 
Somerset, Pa., Mrs. Barbara Charron of South Bend, Wash., and Mrs. Lizzie Grell 
of Frances, Wash.
  Funeral was held last Sunday at 10:30 a.m., at the Jennings Lutheran Church, 
conducted by the pastor, Rev. Kern.
  Interment was in the Grantsville Cemetery, under the direction of Mortician 
Stanley M. Thomas, of Salisbury, Pa.
