Born June 6, 1902 at Lopez, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Henry Champion and Joanna (Bates) Palmer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Emmons Yommer; a son, Paul Lumas Yommer; a daughter, Virginia Elizabeth (Yommer) Blocher; an infant son, Carl Yommer; a brother, Elmer Palmer, and two sisters: Bertha Palmer and Gladys (Palmer) Wilt. She is survived by a son, Henry Greer Yommer, and wife, Edith, of Addison; a daughter, Sara Ruth (Yommer) Webster and husband, James, Cumberland, Md.; a son-in-law, Joseph P. Blocher, Rockville, Md.; also 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Homemaker and member of Addison United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Yommer, Jim Yommer, Jim Webster, Mark Webster, Larry Yommer and Sam Collins. Daily American, March 20, 1996
