Born Sept. 22, 1913, in Ebensburg, son of Paul and Magdalene (Galla) Yonai. Preceded in death by parents, brother Paul, and an infant sister. Survived by these children: David M., Champion RD 1; Mrs. Wayne (Rose Ann) Kalp, Rockwood RD 1; Mark W., Stoystown RD 2, and seven grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Vincent F. Garrett, and Steve, Somerset RD 5. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired farmer, and worked as a mechanic for PennDOT. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Clifford Wicks officiating. Interment, Otterbein Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society, Room 216, Scull Bldg., Somerset, in his memory would be appreciated.
