Yorkony, 77, of Boswell RD 2, died Sept. 23, 1993, in Somerset Hospital. Born July 14, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y.; son of the late John and Frances Yorkony. Preceded in death by parents, one brother, and one sister. Survived by wife, Opal (Gilbert) Yorkony, one step daughter, Margaret wife of Donald Nair of Friedens, three step grandchildren: Keith Nair married to the former Lesa Baker of Listie, and Michael, and Michelle Nair of Friedens, a nephew, William Feleice, of East Meadows, N.Y.; and a niece, Veronica Kajawa, Flushing, N.Y. Member of St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, Acosta, Veteran of WW II, served over seas with a coast artillery battalion, member of VFW Post 554, Somerset. Retired from Lion Match Company, Long, Island, N.Y.; machine operator and shipping clerk at DESERVING POORBOYS, Manhattan, N.Y., Friends wilt be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Robert H. Halver son Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta, Rev. father Raymond Carr officiating. Interment, Beams Cemetery.
