Yorty, John

DIED IN CHICAGO - Mr. John Yorty died at his home in Chicago, Ill., of 
paralysis, on January 27, 1914. He was born in Meyersdale, December 27, 1824, 
and made his home here during the early period of his life, being actively 
identified with the business interests of the town during its early history. He 
was married in 1851 to Caroline Bowman, by whom he had eleven children, nine of 
whom survive. He removed from Meyersdale in 1876, and for the past twenty-five 
years had made his home in Chicago.
