  FOSTER E. YOST
  
    Foster E. Yost, 85, Accident, Md., died Thursday, October 21, 1982 in the
  Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, Md.
    A retired farmer, he was active in soil conservation and was the first to
  practice contour farming in Garrett County.
    Born in Grantsville, Md., he was a son of the late Peter and Lydia
  (Bowmaster) Yost. His wife, Mrs. Mae (Speicher) Yost, died in 1979.
    Mr. Yost was a member of the State Farm Bureau, the Garrett County Farm
  Bureau, and the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren. He was district treasurer
  for the Church of the Brethren.
    Surviving are a foster son, Harold Duckworth, Hanover; one brother and one
  sister, Harvey Yost and Miss Elizabeth Yost, both of North Manchester, Ind.
    Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A service
  was held Sunday afternoon in the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev.
  William Shimer officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
