  Alma Ferne Young, 77, Somerset, died Aug. 25, 1996, at Somerset Hospital.
  Born Nov. 13, 1918, in Somerset. Daughter of Charles R. and Martha (Mognet)
  Singo. Preceded in death by parents; foster Parents, John and Ada Weimer:
  husband, Carl W. Young, who died July 22, 1985; brother, Dwight Singo
  Bittner; also a half-brother and two half-sisters. Survived by son, Barry R.
  Young, Stoystown RD 3; daughter-in-law, Jane Landis Young, Shanksville;
  grandchildren: Mrs. Mark (Lee Ann) Nicholson, Shanksville; Carl R. Young,
  Stoystown RD 3. Sister of Merle Singo, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth L. Kline,
  Friedens RD 1. Half-sister of Charles R. Singo Jr., Copperhill, Tenn.; Mrs.
  Ralph (Emma Frances) Weyand, Rochester; Mrs. Dorothy Deltino, Beaver Falls;
  Mrs. Delores Pack, Niles, Ohio; Robert R. Singo, Beaver Falls. Also numerous
  nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Mrs. Ronald (Nila) Schrock.
  Member of Grace United Methodist Church and R.S.V.P. Was a volunteer at
  Somerset Hospital. Retired from Selective Insurance Co. with 18 years
  service. Friends received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
  Wednesday, Rev. Charles F. Olsen officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
