Born May 10, 1903 in Carleton, Neb., daughter of the late Robert S. and Nellie (Sipe) Meyers. Preceded by parents; husband, Harry Young; and infant sister, Sara Belle. Survived by step-daughter, Mrs. James Noschese, Pittsburgh, and seven step-grandchildren. Lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. A 50-yearmember and past matron of Trinity Chapter 138 Order of Eastern Star. Member of Past Matrons Club. Retired geography and science teacher of Somerset Area Schools in 1965 after 42 years. Member of Trinity Fellowship and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. Graduate of Indiana State Normal and California State Teachers College. Life member of Somerset County Retired Teachers Association. Life member of Pa. Retired Teachers Association and member of National Retired Teachers Association. Recipient of Valley Forge Freedom Foundation Award in June 1965. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. Pastor H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery. Trinity Chapter 138 Order of Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service in the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Daily American, March 1, 1988
