Young, 98, of Grove Avenue, Johnstown, formerly of Somerset, died July 9, 1986, at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1887, in Somerset, daughter of the late Milton M. and Kathryn (Kifer) Young. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Earl; and sister, Mrs. Mary Reitz. Survived by niece, Mrs. James (Kathryn Louise) Noschese, Pittsburgh; nephew, Philip D. Reitz, Sparks, Nev.; and a cousin, Mrs. George (Mary Ann) Jock of Somerset. A retired school teacher, she taught for 43 years in the Johnstown and Somerset school systems having retired from the Roxbury school. Member of Moxham Christian Church. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Husband Cemetery with the Rev. David Gray officiating. Family suggests contributions to the Geistown Ambulance Service or the Moxham Christian Church. Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Daily American, July 10, 1986
