MARY PEARL YOUNG

  Mrs. Mary Pearl Branch Young, wife of James Young, died at her home on Large 
Street, December 23rd, after a long and severe illness.  She was aged 40 years 
and 23 days and was born and reared in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Newton 
and Ellen (Johnson) Branch.  She was an industrious and highly respected 
Christian woman, a splendid housekeeper, a faithful wife and devoted mother.  
She is survived by her husband, two children, Margaret and Victor Young, both of 
Philadelphia, and one brother, Clarence Branch, of Greensburg.  Funeral services 
were conducted by Rev. Lewis of Philadelphia; interment in Union Cemetery, 
December 27th, J. L. Tressler being the undertaker in charge.
