  YOUNG
  
  Verlyn "Scaps" Young, 40, of Brushville, Ohio, formerly of the Shanksville
  area, died April 3, 1976, at home. He was born Aug. 24, 1935 in Stony Creek
  Township, a son of Pauline (Landis) Young of Shanksville and the lat, Rayford
  Young. Also preceded in death by a brother, Terry. Survived by his widow, the
  former Alice Suter and these children: Terri Lee; Vicki; Kelly Jo; Greg and
  Chris, all at home. He was a brother of Allan of Stoystown RD 3 and Mrs.
  Ernerst (Loretta) Weyant, Berlin RD 1. He was employed by Lancaster Mold,
  Inc. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday
  with the Rev. Marlin A. Miller officiating. Interment, Walker Cemetery,
  Shanksville.
