ALICE A. YOUNKIN

  Mrs. Alice A. Younkin, 83, a native of Somerset County, died Jan. 17, at the 
home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Frank Roadman, near Jones Mills.
  Born near Confluence, a daughter of Philip and Katherine J. Phillippi, she had 
resided for 35 years in Owensdale, where she was a member of the United Brethren 
Church.
  She leaves three children - Mrs. Frank King, Smithfield; Mrs. Dorothy 
Firestone, Confluence, and Harry Younkin, Owensdale - and 25 grandchildren.  
Also surviving are one brother and three sisters.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Jan. 19, in the Owensdale United 
Brethren Church, by Rev. G. W. Smith.  Interment was made in Scottdale Cemetery.
