Younkin, 93, of Salisbury, died Dec. 25, 2000 at Beverly Healthcare, Meyersdale. Born April 12, 1907 in Summit, Township. A daughter of the late John and Clara (Shoemaker) Briskey. Also preceded in death by her son, Lloyd B. Younkin; six sisters: Mira Scheler, Bertha Vought, Gistava Lohr, Verna Lansberry, Mirtle Ringler, and Florence Tressler; and two brothers: Alton Briskey and Norbert Briskey. Survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth A. "Bann" Younkin, Salisbury, and numerous nieces and nephews. Former employee of the Pine Grill Restaurant in Somerset. A member of St. John's United Church of Christ Salisbury. Friends will be received from until 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the, Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, with the Rev. Raymond L. Brown officiating.
