  Blair E. "Jake" Younkin, Sr., 71, of Ursina, died Sept. 12, 1986, at his
  home. Born July 6, 1915, in Ursina, son of Frederick and Mary (Layfield)
  Younkin. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Knotter; and the
  following children: Janet Conn of Confluence; Blair E. Jr. of Markleton; Fred
  and Karen Metz, both of Confluence; also, 12 grandchildren and eight
  great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Younkin of Ursina and Joseph Scott
  Younkin of Connellsville. He was a member of the Ursina Church of God, Local
  Union 66 of Operating Engineers and U.S.W. Friends will be received at the
  Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, 2-9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
  Sunday, at which time the service will be held in the funeral home with the
  Rev. Nevin Umbel officiating. Interment, Ursina Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American
  Cancer Society.
