(Bud) Younkin, 72, of Confluence, died May 31, 1987, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 25, 1915, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, a son of the late John B. and Lottie M. (Firestone) Younkin. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Olive Snyder. Survived are four children, Curtis F., Columbus, Ohio; William Roger, Nancy Jane, and Clinton Ray, all of Confluence; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert, Vancouver, Wash.; William, Houston, Texas; and Ross, Rockwood; three sisters, Elsie Dickman, Norwalk, Ohio; Evelyn Johnson, Merritt Island, Fla.; and Dorothy Kegley, Landover, Md. He was retired from the B.& O. Railroad after 34 years of service, and employed by Citizens Water Co. of Confluence. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home Confluence, where services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Evert C.
