"Smut" Younkin, 91, of Confluence died Nov. 22, 2002 at Patriot Manor. He was born Oct. 11, 1911 in Humbert, a son of the late Wesley and Ada (King) Younkin. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Virginia (Leonard) Younkin. He is survived by daughter Eileen Rosenberger of Bruceton Mills W.Va.; a son Dwight of Confluence four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Ronald Schaeffer officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery. Daily American, November 23, 2002
