Younkin, 59, died June 12, 1980 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born in Grantsville, Md., and was a son of the late Thomas Younkin and Delilah (Bittinger) Younkin. He was a lineman for Potomac Edison Company; a veteran of World War II; a member of Christ Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 214, both of Grantsville, and the VFW post in Salisbury. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Irene E. Younkin; three sons, Kenneth C. Younkin, Grantsville; Richard Younkin, Accident, Md.; Carl Younkin, Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Margroff, Accident; two brothers, Walter Younkin and Harry Younkin, both of Grantsville; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Miller, Bristol, R.I., and 10 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted in the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry W. Randall officiating. Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery.
