Younkin, 63, died July 18, 1981, at the home of his sister, Miss M. Evelyn Younkin, Grantsville, Md. Born at Grantsville, Md., he was a son of Mrs. Emma L. (Cochrane) Younkin of Grantsville and the late James R. Younkin. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, a World War II veteran and a member of Stadelman Chapter 35, DAV. Surviving in addition to his sister and his mother are four brothers, William C. Younkin of Akron, Ohio, Harold E. Younkin of Malin, Ore.; Robert J. Younkin of Scottsdale, Ariz., and John A. Younkin of Akron, and another sister, Mrs. Charlotte McDermott of Dayton, Ohio. Graveside services were conducted in Grantsville Cemetery, with the Rev. K. Almond officiating. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Paul's United Methodist Church. The Republic, July 23, 1981
